Israel’ (part 1) ‘The Land’ ‘The Promise’ ‘Regathering Of Jewish People From All Over The World’

The only regathering of Jews from “many nations around the world in Israel’s history is that which is occurring in modern days (1948) , when Israel achieved statehood.” (The End Times In Chronological Order-Rhodes) Genesis 10:19 sets forth the borders of Canaan (promised land) “extended from Sidon toward Gerar as far as Gaza, and then toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha.…” and the families of the Canaanites were spread abroad. Other Bible references set forth Canaan boundaries. (limited space) People seem to most often remember exciting things! When Sodom and Gomorrah are mentioned (read the biblical account) you find that Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed. Most often it is thought the only reason for their destruction was because of their long term immoral behavior. However, there’s another reason: being their neglect to help the poor and they had plenty. Abram had been guided to leave his homeland, Haran, at 75-years-old and “go to the land of Canaan and I will make a great nation of you,” [Genesis 12:1] and to go to a land that God would show him. The entire sojourning period was 430 years: 400 years date from Isaac’s birth. The 430 years from “the promise” or Covenant made and include the whole sojourning.” Abram’s nephew, Lot, went with him. This was not the original plan. God told Abram to get away from your kindred. Lot tagged along with Abram and Sarai. Lot caused quite a problem to Abram, who had to rescue him in a war. Lot separated from Abram. Lot’s herdsmen disagreed on space; wanted more space for their herds. Abram was conciliatory and agreed to offer Lot part of the plain he chose. We know Lot didn’t fare well as we can see Sodom was destroyed. You will recall, Abram and Sarai for many years had no child [Sarai was barren]. At Sarai’s suggestion, having become impatient with God’s timetable, encouraged Abram, “go in unto my maid, Hagar [an Egyptian]. He agreed to this pivotal decision. Their union produced Ishmael. God also promised Hagar, “I will multiply your seed exceedingly. Later, the promised child to Abram and Sarai, Isaac, was born at their old age. God changed their names to Abraham and Sarah. [I’m skipping quite a bit here]. Hagar and Ishmael were also blessed exceedingly. So, we ask the question, “Where and why are the Jewish people scattered among the nations. Certainly, one reason is there have been many “sieges” of Jerusalem. From my research, some 27 sieges (not all recorded in scriptures, but elsewhere. Zechariah predicts a 28th raised by Messiah, as the 7th was by Jehovah (Divine interposition foretold by Prophet Isaiah-603 B.C.) During these events, one would reason that scattering and dispersion of the people took place over different parts of the world and different times. Part 1
